Yvonne M. Williams, 82 of Alexandria died Saturday, June 23, 2012 in the Alexandria Care Center after an extended illness.
Yvonne was born in Clarks, LA on Dec. 26, 1929 and was the daughter of James A. and Maude (Sellers) Majors.
Yvonne was a retired Nurse’s Aide from Urania Hospital in Louisiana . She was an avid reader and always enjoyed reading a new book.
Surviving are her two Sons, Larry (Diane) Beane of Alexandria and Vernon (Rosetta) Beane of Elwood, a Sister, Marsha Lisby of Alexandria and Sister-in-law, Connie Majors of Chesterfield. Also surviving are eight Grandchildren, 28 Great-Grandchildren and nine Great-Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, her first Husband, LeRoy Beane, her second Husband, Johnnie Williams, two Brothers, Mark R. Majors and Jimmie Majors.
The family has chosen cremation. A private family graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family in IOOF Cemetery, Alexandria.
In lieu of flowers, the requests memorials be made to the Alexandria Care Center’s Activity Fund, 1912 S. Park Ave., Alexandria, IN 46001 or in care of the funeral home.
