Wilma Bowyer

Wilma S. Bowyer 91, of Alexandria died Wednesday, July 20, 2016 in Community Hospital, Anderson after a brief illness.
Wilma was born in Forrestville, NY and was the daughter of Gifford and Dorcas (Clement) Swanson.
She was retired from Guide Lamp Corp., Anderson.
Wilma was an active member of the Christian Congregation Church, where she enjoyed the fellowship of her church family, especially helping making homemade noodles and pies for church dinners.
Wilma was a loving mother and grandmother who always enjoyed spending time with her family.
Left to cherish her memory are children, Ralph (Ann) Bowyer, Markleville, Elizabeth (Ronnie) Eden and Linda Moore both of Alexandria, step-son, Donald E Bowyer ,Orestes and a brother, Ralph Swanson of Forrestville, NY. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
Wilma was preceded in death by her parents, Step-son, Jerry Bowyer, brothers, Clifford Swanson, Glen Swanson, her twin brother, Wilner Swanson and her sister, Blossom Domenico.
A service to celebrate Wilma’s life will be Monday, July 25, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Christian Congregation Church with Rev. Jerry Young officiating. Friends may call at the church on Sunday from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday. A private family committal service will follow on Tuesday in Anderson Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are made to the Christian Congregation Church, 11015 N 300 E, Alexandria, IN 46001 or in care of the funeral home.
