Vivian Irene Crum, 97 of Alexandria died Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2020 in the Summit Health and Living Center, Summitville after an extended illness.
Vivian was born on Mar. 25, 1922 in Elwood, IN and was the daughter of Oren and Myrtle Schrougham. She later married Otis Lee Crum on April 27, 1941. He preceded her in death on April 19, 1996.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed many interests, such as cooking, quilting, gardening, puzzle books, watching Jeopardy and golf. She was an avid Indianapolis Colts and Notre Dame Football fan. But where she earned her angel’s wings was being a caretaker of her daughter Pam for over 60 years.
Left to carry on her legacy of love are sons, Tom (Betty) Crum, Sam (Jennifer) Crum and Rob Crum. Also surviving are six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Otis Lee Crum, daughter, Pam Crum and a sister, Glendora Sullivan.
Vivian’s funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with Rev. Randy Murphy officiating. Burial will follow in Park View Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are made to the Activity Fund at the Summit Health and Living Center, 701S. Main, Summitville, IN 46070 or in care of the funeral home.
