With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Tammy L. Hawkins, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, on November 13, 2024, in Alexandria, Indiana. Born on September 13, 1969, in Valparaiso, Indiana, Tammy touched the lives of all who knew her with kindness, warmth, and unwavering love.
Tammy is survived by her mother and best friend, Suzanne Bennett of Lake Station, Indiana; daughter Brittaney Robison (Nick Mysliwiec) of Hobart, Indiana, grandchildren Kairi and Rowan Mysliwiec; sons Keith Hawkins of Westville, Indiana; and Stephan Bennett of Denver, Colorado (Shelby Geisendorff), and many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her father, Asa Bennett, brother, James Jonathon Bennett, and Grandma Retha Shearer.
Tammy was a vibrant and eccentric soul whose passion for art and love for animals defined her. Her magnetic personality drew people to her, and she was known for her infectious laughter and boundless energy, which made every gathering feel like a celebration. A dedicated civil servant, Tammy made an indelible mark on her community through her hard work and unwavering commitment to helping others. Whether surrounded by family, friends, or her beloved animals, she found joy in creating meaningful memories that will be cherished forever. Tammy's presence brightened every room, and her spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
In honoring Tammy's wishes, a gathering will be held at a later date.
