Sue Jones

Sue A Jones, 73 of Alexandria died Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014 at her residence after an extended illness.
Sue was born in Alexandria on May 19, 1941 and was the daughter of Robert and Leetha (Calhoun) Hines. She was married to Sam Jones who preceded her death on Feb. 1, 1999.
Sue was retired from Gaither’s Distribution Center in Alexandria.
She was a member of Christian Congregation Church, Alexandria and the Alexandria Eagles Auxiliary.
Left to cherish Sue’s memory are her sons, Jeff Marlow of Alexandria, Jay Marlow of Tampa, FL, James (Rae Bethe) Jones of New Castle, PA. her daughters, Nikki (Denny) Flowers of New Castle, IN, Terri Marlow of Anderson, Robin (David) Beardsley of Alexandria, her brother, Steve (Barbara) Hines of Greencastle. Also surviving are 15 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
Sue was preceded in death by her parents and husband Sam Jones.
Funeral services will be Friday at 1:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with Rev. Jerry Young officiating. Burial will follow in IOOF Cemetery, Alexandria. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
