Sue Garretson

Sue A Garretson, 86 of Alexandria died Friday, Dec. 7, 2022, in Community Hospital, IN after extended illness.

Sue was born in Anderson, IN on Sept 13, 1935, and was the daughter of Lawrence and Pearl (Nichols) Van Dyke. She graduated from Anderson High School.

Sue was a member of the Glad Tiding Assembly of God Church since 1975. She was an avid fan of Anderson Indians basketball; she had been a volunteer at Operation Love for many years.

She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother and always enjoyed spending time with her family and her church family where all the children called her Nana.

Left to carry on her legacy of love is her daughter, Karen (Walter) Keith, and her grandchildren, Kristen Edwards, B. J. Wise, and Walter Keith, IV.; her great-grandchildren, Maddy, Abby, Sofia, Miles, and Camden.

Services for Sue will be held on Friday, Jan. 14, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, Anderson with Rev. Matt Boldiszar and Rev. Gary Cook officiating. Interment will follow in Anderson Memorial Park.

Whetsel Funeral Service, Park Ave. Chapel, Alexandria has been entrusted with the service arrangements for Sue.
