Sarah P. “Cherry” Cobb-Hinton, 66 of Alexandria died Thursday, April 12, 2012 in the Alexandria Care Center.
Sarah was born in Anderson, IN on July 8, 1945 and was the daughter of Walter R and Samantha (Hahn) Vandevender.
She attended the Vermillion Friends Church near Alexandria.
Surviving Sarah is her two sons, Jesse E. (Keri) Davis of Johnston City, IL and
Walter Lee (Shannon) Davis of Alexandria. A brother, Jack L. Dowler, Elwood, her twin sister, Katherine (Larry) Sigler, Sr., Jane Addison, Nancy Sayre all of Alexandria, Vera Morris and Betty Mc Cormick both of Elwood. Also surviving are six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Jimmie O. Hinton, an infant son, Ralph E. Cobb, granddaughter, Jasmine Mullins, and a brother, Emerson Dowler.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with Rev. Fred Burke officiating. Cremation will follow the service.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Interment of the Cremains will be in the IOOF Cemetery, Alexandria at the convenience of the family at a later date.
