Robert Glen Eckler

Robert Glen Eckler, 69 of Alexandria died May 8, 2024, in Ascension St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital after a brief illness.

Robert was born in Ft. Wayne, IN on July 30, 1954, and was the son of Glen and Patricia Eckler.  He graduated from Wayne High School in Ft. Wayne in 1972. Robert was a veteran serving with the United States Army.

He moved to the Alexandria area in November of 2013.  He later became close friends with the Greer and Humphrey families and became a part of their families.  He loved going to lunch with Troy at Buro Loco in Anderson and hanging out at the shop in Alexandria with the guys. He also enjoyed visiting the Alexandria Public Library.

Left to cherish his memory are his adopted family, Jimmie and Katreena Humphrey and Troy and Becky Greer and their families.

Private services will be held later.
