Robert Dickerson

Robert E. “Bob” Dickerson, 76, of Alexandria died Wednesday, June 4, 2014 in Community Parkview Nursing Care, Elwood after an extended illness.
Bob was born on Nov. 15, 1937 in Alexandria and was the son of Helen (Thurman) Dickerson. On May 13, 1961 he married Helen A. (Reeves) Dickerson who preceded him in death on July 7, 2009.
Bob was retired from Cerden’s Manufacturing Co. in Frankton and was currently employed at the Super Wash in Alexandria.
Bob always enjoyed going to estate auctions and attending car shows.
Survivors’ include his daughters, Kim (Reni Foster) Appel, Lisa (Mike) Gross both of Alexandria and Cathy (Ronnie) Rickard of Frankton. A brother, Richard (Mimi) Dickerson of Bedford, IN. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Trent (Emily Moore) Fuller, Kelsey (Dan Delaney) Fuller, Tyler Gross, Ashley(Anthony) Ferdin, Kristy (Casey Forrester) Gordon, Bobby (Ashley) Goodman, Brent Goodman, Bryant (Emily) Goodman, and Michael (Kim) Rickard, and his great-grandchildren, Ryder, Kole, Helen, Jasmine, Treyton, Sophia, Isabella, Quinn, Zayn, Benjamin, Oliver, Lily, Annie, Myles, Makennah and Brayden.
He was preceded in death by his parents and wife, Helen (Reeves) Dickerson.
Funeral services will be Saturday, June 7, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in the Florida Station Church of God with Rev. Jerry Hilligoss officiating. Burial will follow in Park View Cemetery.
Friends may call at Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria on Friday, June 6, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one hour at the church prior to the service on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Florida Station Church of God, 1045 W. 375 N, Anderson, IN 46011 or in care of the funeral home.
