Ricky Ice

Ricky Lee Ice, 62 of Alexandria died Sunday, April 29, 2018 at his residence while in the company of his loving family, after an extended illness.
He was born in Hartford City, IN on Nov. 27, 1955 and was the son of Jackie and Elberta (Birdie) Hamilton Ice. On Nov. 4, 1993 he married Mary F. (Stevenson) Ice.
Rick was retired from Industrial D Electronics. He was a member of the Alexandria Nazarene Church.
Rick spent hours tinkering with his race car. He enjoyed going to car shows, driving in Figure 8 and dirt track races. He could fix just about anything and was a jack of all trades. However, his greatest enjoyment came from being with his family. He loved his Mother and Wife, his daughter, his brother and sisters, grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
He is survived by his wife, Mary F Ice, his mother, Elberta (Birdie) Ice, a daughter, Christal Blue (Jim Lee) Vail, a brother, Tim (Lorrie) Ice, sisters, Cindy (John) Goforth, Pam (Doug) Smith, Brenda Ice, Beverly (Tony Croy) Doughty, grandchildren, Nikolas Christian Vail, Taylor Ranae Vail and Rebecca Fox. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Rick’s life will be held on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 3:00 p.m. in the Alexandria Nazarene Church, 1401 S Harrison St., Alexandria, with Rev. Mark Diemer officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the request memorials be made to the Alexandria Nazarene Church, 1401 S Harrison St., Alexandria, IN 46001. Contribution envelopes will be available at the church.
