Richard (Dick) Gary, 72 of Anderson died April 7, 2020 at Community Hospital, Anderson from complications from the Covid 19 virus.

He was born April 13, 1947 in Anderson to Fredrick Dean Gary and Velma Marie (Sheward) Gary.

He retired in 1999 from General Motors. He loved spending time with his family and especially his grandchildren. He tried to attend most of their athletic games. He and Dixie loved spending time at the cottage at Barbee Lake and Panama City Beach each year. Everyone will miss his sense of humor and his loveable onery self.

He is survived by his loving wife of 24 years, Dixie (Busby) Gary, son Brian K. (Leah Hazelbaker) Gary of Anderson, daughter, Dawn (Adam Shyrock) Gary-Stigall of Pendleton, Step-son, Brian (Shawna) Muse of Frankton, Step-daughter, Kimberly(Bill) Lillard of Alexandria. His sister, Virginia Delph, sister-in-law Becky Gary. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Laci (Bud) Price, Lance (Katie) Gary and Austin (Lexi) Stigall, six step-grandchildren, great-grandchildren, Maddie Price, Jaxson Price and six step-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Tom Gary, brother-in-law, Norman Delph and an infant sister and grandson, Uriah Croy.

The family has chosen a private family followed by burial in Anderson Memorial Park.
