Randell Lee "Randy" Inglis, 68 of Alexandria died Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at his residence after a brief illness.
He was born in Anderson, Indiana on November 8, 1955, and was the son of Russell L. Inglis and Patricia (Watkins) Ritichison. He graduated from Alexandria-Monroe High School with the class of 1974 and then graduated from Vincennes University in 1976.
Randy was employed by the United States Postal Service in Anderson where he retired after 30 years of service.
He was an avid golfer, he helped in getting the new Golf Club of Alexandria open and worked part time there for a while. He enjoyed fishing, especially on Lake Erie. Randy loved nature, he always enjoyed spending time outdoors and looking for arrow heads, He took pleasure in boating, attending auctions, playing cards and being a fan of the Indiana Hoosiers and the Indiana Pacers. But of his greatest joys was watching his grandsons’ playing sports.
Randy was a great dad and grandfather, who loved his family with all his heart and always loved to spend time with them.
Left to cherish his legacy of love, are his children, Ryan (Kathryn Hoover) Inglis and Amanda Inglis-Shepherd. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Hayden, Ryder Shepherd and Charlotte Hoover as well as a host of special friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Rebekah Inglis.
A gathering of family and friends will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Park Ave. Chapel, 1503 S Park Ave., Alexandria. At 7:45 p.m. Rev. Jim Tallman will share a time of remembrance.
