Ollean Howell, 92 of Alexandria died Sunday, November 17, 2019 in Community Hospital surrounded by her loving family.
Ollean was born on Mar. 21, 1927 in Prescott, AR and was the daughter of Clyde E and Vergie (Lamb) Sutton. ON Feb. 3, 1965 she married William “Bill” Howell.
She was a homemaker, she had waitressed for many years, was employed for eight years as a cook at the Alexandria Intermediate School and had been a Avon Sales Representative for over 20 ears. She attended the First Christian Church in Alexandria.
Left to carry on her legacy of love are her husband of 54 years, William “Bill” Howell, sons, Calvin Howell and Jimme Collins; daughters, Angela Overman, Amy (David) Hedgecraft, Wanda Collins, Charlene Benoit; a brother, James Sutton; sisters, Louise Wright, Ruby Slone, Ruth (Douglas) Walker. Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers, Edmond Sutton, Cohen Sutton and Orville Sutton; sisters, Dorothy Ford, Elsie Sutton and Patsy Romero.
A gathering of family and friends will be held Thursday, Nov. 21, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Whetsel Funeral Service, 1503 S. Park Ave., Alexandria. Cremation will follow.
