ALEXANDRA: Nick Robert Cooper, 54 of Alexandria died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018 at his residence after an extended illness.
Nick was born in Wabash, IN on Nov. 7, 1963 and was the son of Jon Cooper and Sharon (Dove) Lundquist. He graduated from Alexandria-Monroe High School in 1982. While in high school he participated in basketball, football and golf. He had been a member of the former First United Methodist Church in Alexandria.
Nick had been employed as a Prudential Securities Agent and sold aerial photos.
Nick enjoyed playing golf and fishing. He was avid Alexandria Tiger sports fan as well as the Indianapolis Colts, Indiana Pacers, Kansas City Chiefs and the Los Angeles Dodgers.
Left to cherish his memory are his parents, Sharon (August) Lundquist of Ft. Wayne, Jon (Diana) Cooper of Yorktown; his sister, Cindi Cooper of Alexandria and his special nephew, Landon Breese of Bloomington.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Deanna Breese in 2002.
A service to celebrate Nick’s life will be held on Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, 1503 S Park Ave., Alexandria with Rev. Rodney Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery, Alexandria. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, Oct. 15, 2018 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials are made to the American Heart Association, 6500 Technology Center Dr., Indianapolis, IN 46278.
