Michale Kay Clark

November 29, 1947 — July 4, 2024

Frankton

Michale Kay Clark went home to Jesus on July 4, 2024, from Elwood Health and Living after an extended battle with dementia. Michale was born in Muncie, Indiana, on November 29, 1947, to Billy and Wanda Brownewell.

Michale loved the Lord, her family and her friends. Michale’s favorite past time was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Michale loved to travel, with Maine and Mackinac Island being her favorite destinations.

Michale was an active member of the Community Church of Frankton, where she was involved with the Women’s’ Group, at one point serving as that group’s President, served on various committees and loved helping with Vacation Bible School. Michale had many special friends at her church and well as at the Frankton Christian Church.

Michale was active in the Madison County Home Extension and the Frankton Home Builders Club. She served as Treasurer of the County organization and President of the Frankton club. She enjoyed preparing projects for the Madison County 4H Fair, especially her counted cross stitch pictures. Michale was one of the founding board members of Eagle Packs, an organization founded to provide weekend meals for students in Frankton schools. Michale also enjoyed getting together with her Red Hat Club.

Michale began her career working as a nurse’s aide at Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie and ended it as a bookkeeper at Bishop Lighting in Carmel.

Michale and Kenton were married on May 18, 1974, and Kenton survives. Michale is also survived by son Todd and daughter Angie Carley (Cliff), five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Jennifer Peck and three brothers Greg Marvin, Mark Shank and Scott Wilhite.

The family is thankful for the wonderful care Michale received at Elwood Health and Living, especially the Memory Unit. All the staff from the administration to the nurses and aides, the dining service, laundry and housekeeping make the residents and their families feel special. The family is also grateful for the caring services of Brighton Hospice.

Services for Michale will be held at the Community Church of Frankton (formerly Frankton First United Methodist Church), 109 S. 8th Street, Frankton, IN 46044 on Wednesday, July 10 at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Bob Preusz officiating. A visitation will be on Tuesday, July 9, from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the church.
