Michael Scott Verbryck

Michael Scott VerBryck, 51 of Alexandria died Monday, May 27, 2024, in Tucson Medical Center, Tucson, AZ after a brief illness.

Michael was born on November 3,1972 in Tipton, Indiana and was the son of Roger VerBryck and Terrie (Brown) McDaniel.  On May 24, 2019, he married Amy (Sutton) VerBryck.  He had been previously employed as a dump truck driver.

Michael was a loving and caring husband, son, grandfather, and brother.  He enjoyed his time with his family, especially his precious granddaughter, Adaline, who he absolutely adored.  He was an avid collector of all kinds of memorabilia as well as bicycles, especially mongoose bikes and golf carts. Michael was a wheeler dealer; he loved to barter and would drive miles for a good deal. For several years Michael was one of Santa’s special helpers by playing Santa on the Polar Express train in Noblesville during the holiday season.

He was a very outgoing and friendly person; he never knew a stranger. His warmth was felt by everyone who ever met him.

Left to cherish his legacy of love is his wife Amy, his children, Hunter Fodrea, Kassey Bischoff, Taylor (Owen) Long, and Morgan (Colton) Gossett; his granddaughter, Adaline Bischoff; his mother, Terrie McDaniel, his sisters, Jennifer (Kenny) Rodenbarger and Holly (Tim) Cobb; Stepmother, Elizabeth VerBryck; his Paternal grandmother, Becky VerBryck and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roger Verbryck.

A service to celebrate Michael’s life will be Saturday, June 8, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Park Ave. Chapel, 1503 S. Park Ave., Alexandria. A burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.  Visitation will be on Saturday, June 8, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
