Mary Ellen Hahn, 90 of Alexandria died Sunday, July 22, 2012 in Community Hospital while in the company of her family.
Mary was born in Jay Co., Indiana on July 10, 1922 and was the daughter of Floyd J. and Mabel F. (Hart) Wentz. On June 21, 1941 she married Charles E. Hahn.
Mary was retired from Delco Remy of Anderson in 1980 after 25 years of service.
Mary was a loving Mother and Grandmother and always enjoyed spending time with her family. She a very creative person, and noted for her paper toling and crocheting.
Left to cherish her memory, Phillip C. (Wanda) Hahn of Anderson, James R. (Karen) Hahn of Anderson and David G. (Debbie) Hahn of Noblesville., two Brothers, Richard Wentz of Marion and Charles Wentz of Hartford City. Two Sisters, Joan Rumbaugh and Ruth Ramseyer both of Hartford City. Also surviving are 11 Grandchildren, Jennifer Bell, Rebecca Shaw, Matt Hahn, Danielle Geer, Chad Hahn, Chris Hahn, Brad Hahn, Bryant Hahn, Kristina Buston, Jennifer Turner and Jeremy Johnson, 14 Great-Grandchildren, Nicholas Bell, Brynn Bell, Erinn Bell, Alex Hahn, Loren Hahn, Steven Hahn, Hayden Shaw, Georgia Hahn, Lucy Hahn, Nathan Hahn, Graham Geer, Reed Hahn, Tyler Johnson and Morgan Turner.
Mary was preceded in death by her Parents, Husband, Charles E Hahn and a Sister, Martha Yates.
A service to celebrate Mary’s life will be held on Thursday, July 26, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with Rev. Richard True officiating. Burial will follow in Park View Cemetery. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Wednesday, July 25, 2012 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
