Mary Ann Brown, 76 of Alexandria died Monday, February 20, 2017 in Community Hospital, Anderson after an extended illness.
Mary was born in Winchester, IN on July 27, 1940 and was the daughter of Paul and Mildred (Compton) Lucas. On Aug. 23, 1980 she married Steven P Brown who survives.
Mary was a loving and caring mother and grandmother and always enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She was also an avid fisherman and camper.
She was a retired Cashier from Pay Less Super Market in Anderson.
Mary is survivied by her husband of 36 years, Steven P. Brown, her sons, John (Tammy) Martin, Wayne (Helen) Iteen, Roger Iteen, Wade Brown, two daughters, Rose (George) Mc Donough, and Rachel Brown. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Robert Lucas.
Funeral services will be Thursday, Feb. 23, 2017 at 12:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with Bud Whetsel officiating. A graveside service will follow at 2:00 p.m. in Rittenhour Cemetery, Ridgeville, IN. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
