Martin A. “Marty” Hinton, 57 of Alexandria died Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2014 at his residence after an extended illness.
Marty was born in Anderson, IN on Oct. 29, 1957 and was the son of Vaughn and Juanita (Allen) Hinton. On May 6, 2008 he married Alesia (Jones) Hinton who survives.
Marty had been employed as an Assistant Manager for the Dollar General Store in Alexandria.
Marty loved music, he often would pick up his guitar and play and sing his favorite songs. Sometimes he would be joined by friends all the while creating lasting memories. He loved nature and enjoyed fishing, but because of his love for animals he would always catch and then release them back to the water.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife Alesia, two sons, Jordan Hinton and Rylan (Becca Bassett) Hinton both of Alexandria, a step-son, Lew DiRuzza of Indianapolis, a step-daughter, Sarah (Austin Collins) DiRuzza of Indianapolis, two sisters, Cheri Jo (Bill) Fox of Orestes, Vicki (Jerry) Johnson of Leesburg. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Kelden DiRuzza, Emmalee Granger and Liam M Hinton and many good friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Vaughn and Juanita Hinton.
A service to celebrate Marty’s life will be on Sunday, Nov. 2, 2014 at 4:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with Bud Whetsel as Celebrant. A gathering of family and friends will be Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
The family as requested that memorials be made to the funeral home on behalf of the Hinton family.
