Martha McClish

Martha McClish, 83 of Alexandria died Thursday, October 24, 2013 at her residence after an extended illness while in the company of her family.
Martha was born in Alexandria on June 27, 1930 and was the daughter of Jack and Edith (Writh) York. On Oct. 27, 1951 she married Fred McClish who preceded her in death on Sept. 27, 2009.
Martha was a 1948 graduate of Alexandria High School. She was a member of the Vermillion Christian Church.
She was a retired home maker.
Survivors include her three sons, James McClish and Jack McClish both of Alexandria, Dennis ( Arlena) McClish of Noblesville, a daughter, Joyanne (Todd) Redfern of Winter Garden, FL, a brother, James (Carol) Dunn. Also surviving are two grandchildren, Savannah Redfern of Winter Garden, FL and Johnnie McClish of Anderson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Fred McClish, sister, Anna Dunn Crouse, Ruby York and Virginia Iverson, and a brother, Gilbert York.
Funeral services will be Monday, Oct. 28, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Vermillion Christian Church, 3486 E. 800 N, Alexandria with Rev. Paul Werling officiating. Burial will follow in Park View Cemetery, Alexandria. Friends may call on Sunday, Oct. 27, 2013 at Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Monday at the church.
