Mark Lynsey Durbin, 50 of Alexandria died Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019 in Community Hospital, Anderson after an extended illness.
Mark was born in Anderson, IN on July 19, 1969 and was the son of Rex and Roberta (Harris) Durbin. He attended Mississinewa High School with Class of 1987. On June 15, 1991 he married Amber (Ryan) Durbin.
Mark had been employed at RCA, Marion for fourteen years and currently was employed by Bahr Bros. Manufacturing for the past 8 years a furnace operator.
He was a loving husband, son and brother and always enjoyed spending time with his family. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, Norte Dame Football, NASCAR and was an avid fan of the Oakland Raiders. He was a bowler in the bowling leagues at Norwood Lanes and at Elwood.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Amber, his parents, Rex and Roberta Durbin, and his brother, Matt (Rachel) Durbin.
A celebration of Mark’s life will be held on Friday, Oct. 11, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with his niece, Randi Durbin as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Park View Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent the Madison Co. Humane Society, 2219 Crystal St., Anderson, IN 46012 or in care of the funeral home.
