: Loye Ray, 80 of Rickman, TN and a former Anderson residenct died Dec. 31, 2012in the Cookeville Regional Medical Center.
Loye was born in Overton, TN on March 16, 1932 and was the son of Billy Matt and Myrtle Phipps Ray. Loye was retired from General Motors, Anderson and was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Shriners here in Indiana.
Loye served his country as a veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Surviving is his wife, Marie Johnson Ray of Rickman, TN, Daughter and Son-in-Law, Shelly and Tony Thomas of Pendleton, IN, three sons, Greg Ray of Rickman, TN, Kim Ray, Anderson, IN, Marlin Ray of Arkansas, one Step-Son, Ronnie Wilson of Rickman, TN. Three Sisters, Virginia Honeycutt of Monterey, TN, Ila Dean McCormick and Berta Webb both of Anderson, IN and Two Brothers, Deloye Ray and Archie Ray both of Rickman, TN. Also surviving are nine Grandchildren and four Great-Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, his first wife, Jewel Hughes Ray, an infant son, Sister, Letha Lee and Brother, Loyet Ray.
A graveside service will be conducted on Saturday, Jan. 5, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bronnenberg Cemetery, Chesterfield. Interment will follow with Military Honors conducted by the Indiana National Guard and Elwood VFW Post 5782.
