Linda L. Semon 81, of Alexandria, departed from this world on February 1, 2024, the same day that marked her 81st birthday. She was born on February 1, 1943, to Betty A. Whetsel, and throughout her lifetime, Linda left an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her.
Most of her adult life was spent as a housewife. She enjoyed crafts, crochet, and sewing, showcasing her creativity and passion for handmade treasures. Linda was not only a homemaker but an eccentric collector who found importance and beauty in the simplest of things.
She is survived by her sons, Paul C. (Amy) Semon, James W. (Marletta), Semon and Larry E. (Helen) Semon, as well as her sister Sandra Blakley. Also, by her ten grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
While her departure leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved her, Linda is now reunited with her mother, Betty A. Whetsel, and her daughter, Ann Marrie (Semon) Fields, who preceded her in death.
There will be a gathering of friends and family to share memories at Whetsel Funeral Service Park Ave Chapel, located at 1503 S Park Ave, Alexandria, IN on Tuesday, February 6th from 5-7 pm. A private family graveside service will be held at Vinson Memorial Park Cemetery at a later date. As we say our final goodbyes, let us remember Linda for the love she shared, the memories she created, and the beauty she found in the world around her.
Bud, Susan and their staff at Whetsel Funeral Service are honored to care for Linda and the Semon family.
In leu of flowers donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association at act.alz.org.
