Linda Sue Beard

Linda Sue Beard, 65 years of age, passed way Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at Ascension St. Vincent in Anderson, Indiana.

Linda was born July 3, 1958, in Anderson, Indiana to Norman and Charlotte (Likens) McClain. She was the second oldest of five children, with a lot of pranking, teasing and joking going on. All five know how to laugh well, one proceeded her in death. 

Linda married the love of her life, Stephen Joseph Beard on February 11, 1977 and they were blessed with four children. Linda’s greatest passion was her love for the Lord and her family. She had great faith in her Savior Jesus Christ. She was the mom who was always there to listen, to cry with, argue with and love with. She leaned on the Lord in everything. She was a loving wife and mother who cared very deeply for her family. She was supportive in every part of life’s journey, she guided with godly wisdom and stepped back to let us soar when needed. She trusted the Lord with her whole heart. She had a contagious laugh and laughed often. Even when she tried to be annoyed, she couldn’t help but laugh. She had many wonderful friends that she loved dearly that shared her passion for the Lord.

Linda is no longer in pain and does not bear the burdens of this life any longer. She leaves many to cherish her beautiful memory including her husband, Stephen Beard; children, Stephanie Lucas and Jason Lucas, Travis Beard, Andrew Beard, and James Beard; eight grandchildren, Mercedes, Max, Annabelle, Sarah, Claire, Madelyn, Emily and Michael; three siblings, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 

Something Linda would want everyone to know is that those who are in Christ will be reunited again:

1 Thessalonians 4:13-14

Brothers and sisters, we do not want you to be uninformed about those who sleep in death, so that you do not grieve like the rest of mankind, who have no hope. For we believe that Jesus died and rose again, and so we believe that God will bring with Jesus those who have fallen asleep in him. 

A service to celebrate Linda’s life will be held on Monday, June 24, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, 2604 N Scatterfield Rd., Anderson, IN 46012 with Rev. Matthew Boldizsar and Rev. Gary Cook officiating. A burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson. A visitation will be on Monday, June 24, 2024, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
