Lewis Thompson

Lewis Boyd Thompson, 79 of Anderson went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, Mar. 23, 2022, at his residence after an extended illness.
Boyd was born in Mt. Clemens, MI on Dec. 25, 1942, and was the son of Lewis M. and Edna M. (Boyd) Thompson. On Jan. 29, 2017, he married Kimberly K. (Swift) Thompson.
He was a member of the Connection Pointe Apostolic Church in Anderson, IN.
Boyd was involved in several different businesses before his retirement from the Internal Revenue Service after 10 years of service.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Kim; his children, Mark (Mary Jane) Thompson and Denise Adams; stepchildren, Maria (Martin) Kleinman and Anita Denman. Also surviving are several grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, Mar. 26, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Park Ave Chapel, 1503 S Park Ave., Alexandria. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Cremation will follow the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made the Connection Pointe Apostolic Church, 2700 W 38th St., Anderson, IN 46011 or in care of the funeral home.
