Lawrence L. “Larry” Oary, 66 of Sarasota, FL died Saturday, June 7, 2014 in Hospice Hospital, Sarasota after an extended illness.
Larry was born in Battlecreek, MI on Feb. 20, 1948 and was the son of Harry W. Oary, Sr. and Eva (McCallum) Parker.
Larry had been a Chef at several Sarasota area restaurants.
Survivors are his daughter, Amie (Greg) Hood of Alexandria, brothers, James M. “Jimmie” Oary of Jacksonville, FL and Harry W. Oary, Jr. of Texas, sisters, Lydia Oary Haveman and Leslie Oary Hines both of St. Augustine, Fl. Also surviving are his five grandchildren, Austin Broshar, Jared Oary, Wil Hood, Melody Hood and Harmony Hood.
Private services will be held later at the convenience of the family.
Whetsel Funeral Service of Alexandria is handling the local arrangements.
