Larry Joe Reed, 61 of Alexandria died Friday, Feb. 28, 2020 in the Rawlings House Nursing Center, Pendleton after an extended illness.
Larry was born in Anderson, Indiana on Aug. 6, 1958 and was the son of Ray and Betty (Bangle) Reed. He attended Alexandria-Monroe High School. He later married Lisa (Phelps) Reed on July 20, 1990.
Larry was a farmer by trade and was employed by several area farmers where he was known by many as Tractor Larry. He was an avid fisherman and love tending to his garden where he always had a special type of crop each year. Larry was very active in Farm Toy Shows selling his farm toys; some he had customized.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Lisa (Phelps) Reed, his son, Joe Reed and his daughter, Kendra Lynn (Brandon Hinkle). Also surviving is his grandchildren, Baylee Stellwag, Brayson Hinkle and Brnyley Hinkle.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Ray and Betty Reed.
Services for Larry will be Wednesday, Mar. 4, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with Rev. Ronnie Terry officiating. Burial will follow in Park View Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, Mar. 3, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and one hour prior to the service on Wednesday.
