Kenneth E. Lowry, 84 of Alexandria died Tuesday, May 8th, 2012 at his residence after an extended illness.
Kenneth was born on January 10, 1928 in Walton, Indiana and was the son of Clyde R. and Harriett A. (Williams) Lowry. In 1938 he moved to the Anderson area.
Kenneth was a self-employed Carpenter and Builder. He also owned and operated Lowry’s Sunoco Service Station in Anderson and Marion with his brother Robert.
Kenneth served his country in the United States Navy during WWII and the Korean War.
He was a former member of the Eagles Lodge, Solar Lodge of the F & AM and AFL Carpenters Union.
Survivors include his sister Bonnie Heath of Anderson, Nephews, Danny (Lori) Heath, David (Karen) Lowry and Bill Lowry. Nieces, Sherri Heath, Terri Weston and Donna Jones.
Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Rolland B. Lowry, William C. Lowry and Robert N. Lowry.
Kenneth’s family would like to extend their gratitude to his caregiver Brenda Banta.
A graveside service will be conducted on Friday, May 11th, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson with Dr. Norman Parr officiating. Interment will follow. There will be no visitation.
