John “Jack” Stratton, 98 of Indianapolis died Monday, August 1, 2017 at his residence after an extended illness.
Jack was born in Detroit, MI on Dec. 27, 1918 and was the son of John and Anna (Williams) Stratton.
Jack was a veteran of WWII serving with the United States Army. He retired as an Inspector for RCA of Indianapolis in 1984.
He was a member of the Speedway American Legion Post 500, he was a 33 degree Mason at Warren Lodge 15 of Connersville, Connersville Chapter 346 of OES, Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis and the Murat Shrine of Indianapolis.
Jack is survived by his son, Chuck (Brenda) Stratton of Indianapolis and a sister, Barbra Crumbugh of Florida. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, Aug. 5, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in Stevens Mortuary, 5520 W 10th St., Indianapolis, IN followed by military honors. Friends may call at the mortuary on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Burial will be held at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lebanon.
