Joan Maria Jordan, 47 of Alexandria died Thursday, Jan. 9, 2014 in Community Hospital, Anderson after a brief illness.
Joan was born in Elwood, IN on Aug. 14, 1966 and was the daughter of Ed and Gert Glotzbach. On July 21, 1990 she married David Jordan who preceded her in death on July 17, 2013.
Joan graduated from Alexandria-Monroe High School in 1984 and Ivy Tech College where she studied Computer Sciences. She attended the Church of St. Marys in Alexandria.
She had been employed as a bookkeeper for several area businesses.
Survivors include her parents, Ed and Gert Glotzbach, two sisters, Kathy (Jim) Broyles, Donna (Iseral) Flatford. Also surviving are her nieces and nephews, Angela Jackson, Nathan Patz, Emily Patz and Jacob Flatford and seven great nieces and nephews and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services for Joan will be Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with Fr. Dan Duff officiating. Burial will follow in St. John’s Cemetery, Tipton. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
