GREENFIELD: Janet S. (Bowers) Idlewine, 70 of Greenfield and a former Alexandria resident died Tuesday, June 22, 2021, in Golden Living Center, Greenfield, IN. after an extended illness.
Janet was born on June 4, 1951, in Anderson, IN and was the daughter of Elmer and Lenore (Horton) Bowers. She lived most of her live in Alexandria.
Janet is retired from the Laboratory Department at Red Gold in Orestes.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Kerry Hendricks of Greenfield; her sisters, Bev (John) Cox of Alexandria and Katrin (Carl) Brotherton of Glasglow, KY. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Idlewine in December of 2015 and her brother, Danny Bowers in February of 2018.
A service to celebrate Janet’s life will be held on Saturday, June 26, 2021, at 1:30 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, 1503 S Park Ave., Alexandria. An hour of visitation will be held one hour prior to the service on Saturday.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society, 5635 W 96th St., Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278 or in care of the funeral home.
