James Rowland

James A. Rowland, Jr. 71 of Alexandria died on Thursday, June 1, 2023, in his residence after an extended illness.

James was born in Lee County, Virginia on Aug. 12, 1951, and was the son of James A. and Ruby Rowland, Sr.

James always loved to farm and hunt on the family farm. He enjoyed fishing and was proud that he obtained his private pilot license and love flying.

He will be remembered by his children, Chad (Margaret) Rowland, Jeremy (Teresa) Rowland, James A. Rowland, III, Jamie (Shane) Rowland-Coffman, Lora Holman, and Lisa (Kevin) Walker. His brother, Michael Rowland. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A private family celebration of life service will be held later.
