Jacqueline M. “Jackie” Smith, 76 of Alexandria died Monday, September 29, 2014 in the Alexandria Care Center after an extended illness.
Jackie was born in Grand Forks, N.D. on July 10, 1938 and was the daughter of Clarence E. and Mona Mae (Wallace) Beaulac. On June 6, 1964 she married James H Smith.
She was retired from Anderson Community Schools as a Special Ed Assistant. She was a member of the Church of St. Mary’s, Model A Club and the Red Hat Society.
Left to cherish her memory is her husband of 50 years, James H Smith, a son, Todd M (Alice) Smith of Swayzee, a daughter, Shawna (Ross Planalp) Smith of Alexandria.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, Oct. 2, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the Church of St. Mary’s. 816 W. Monroe, Alexandria with Fr. Dan Duff as Celebrant. Cremation will follow the Mass. Friends are invited to call at the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.
