Jack Laverne Trueblood, 76 of Alexandria died Friday, October 11, 2013 in the Alexandria Care Center after a brief illness.
Jack was born in Anderson, IN on Jan. 7, 1937 and was the son of Clarence A. and Opal L. (Lawson) Trueblood. He was retired from Guide Lamp, Anderson and was a member of FOE Aerie 1771, Alexandria.
Jack enjoyed building remote control air planes and model boats and traveling with family and friends.
Survivors include his niece and caretaker, Debora (Dwayne) Fetters-Alexandria, sister, Becky (Tom) Inglis-Summitville. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews and special friends, Bob and Dixie Cunningham- Alexandria and Zelma Trueblood-Anderson.
Jack was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Gilbert Trueblood, Clifford Trueblood, three sisters, Delores Lalone, Edna Chadwick and Lena Starr.
Funeral services for Jack will be on Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with Rev. Wally Champion officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Memorial Park. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Memorials may be made to the Donor’s favorite charity in Jack’s memory.
