ANDERSON: Helen V. Nance, 87 of Anderson went to be home with the Lord on Jan. 25, 2012 in St. Johns Health Systems after an extended illness.
Helen was born Sept. 9, 1924 in Anderson and was the daughter of George S. and Nellie (Ambrose) Clendenin. On Nov. 20, 1946 she married Worth Nance.
Helen graduated from Walnut Grove High School in 1942. She then attended Indiana Business College. Upon graduation she was employed for a short time as a secretary at Delco Remy in Anderson.
Helen was a 30 year member of Glad Tidings Assembly of God and was active in the Lunch Bunch Club at the church. She also was a member of the Willing Workers Extension Club since 1956.
Helen is survived by her Husband of 65 years, Worth Nance, two Sons, Eric (Stephanie) Nance of Toledo, OH and Mark Nance of Anderson, one Daughter, Debi Nance of Anderson, IN., a Sister, Georgia Nance of Frankton. Also surviving are six Grandchildren, Bryan Nance, Jennifer (David) Williams, Justin (Ashley) Nance, Jason ( Alexa) Nance, Julie ( Trevor) Fulk, Jonna (Tyler) Rosh, seven Great-Grandchildren, Aiden Lemore, Justin Nance, Jr., Braden Nance, Kolton Nance, Madison Nance, Kamri Nance, and Isabella Fulk and several Nieces and Nephews.
Helen was preceded in death by her Parents, a Son, Douglas Allen Nance, and her Sister, Dorothy Holloway.
A service to celebrate Helen’s life will be Monday, Jan. 30, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in Glad Tidings Assembly of God, 815 School St., Anderson with Rev. Jamie Moore officiating. Interment will follow in Anderson Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Monday.
