Harold G. Barley, 92 of Summitville died Saturday, April 6, 2013 in the Alexandria Care Center after an extended illness.
Harold was born in Weirton, W. Va. On Jan. 1, 1921 and was the son of Andrew and Dorothy P. (Barley) Winters. On July 12, 1942 he married Betty (Winslow) Barley.
Harold was retired from Fisher Body in Marion. He served his country in the United States Navy during WWII.
Harold’s passion’s was his family and gardening and farming.
Surviving are his three daughters, Sherry L. Campbell of Summitville, Susanne (Jerry) Cox of Rushville and Kathryn Barnhart of Carmel. Also surviving are six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
Harold was preceded in death by his wife Betty and a grandson, Jeff Stackhouse.
Family and friends are invited to a celebration of Harold’s life on April 20, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. in Park View Cemetery, Alexandria with Jerry Lowery as Celebrant. Interment of Cremains will follow.
