Greama Hague

: Greama Walker Hague. 81, went to meet her Lord and Savior on Oct. 2, 2013 surrounded by her family at the home of her daughter in Republic, MO.
Greama was born on Feb. 12, 1932 in Springfield, MO and was the daughter of John and Fannie (Tettleton) Walker. She was a 1950 graduate of Willard High School after which she moved to Anderson, IN to attend Anderson College. While she was babysitting for his niece, she met her future husband, Bill Hague who she married on March 11, 1955.
Greama loved children and babysat for several families in the Alexandria area becoming known as “Granny Greama”.
Greama was a member of the Alexandria Church of the Nazarene, where is taught Sunday School and children’s church for many years.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Francie (Greg) Norgard of Republic, MO, a son, Phillip (Alicia) Hague of Alexandria, two grandchildren, Alan (Brittany) Nogard of Marionville, MO., Kristine Norgard of Springfield, MO., three great-grandchildren, Mali, Gavin and Aydin, who brought smiles to her face. Also surviving is her brother, Ellis D. (Norma) Walker, two nieces and a nephew, Paula (Mark) Myers, Yvonne (Denzel) Lassley, Glen (Tracy) Walker. Several great nieces and nephews and cousins. Special friend and “sister” Linda Lawson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bill and a daughter Sheila Kay Hague.
Greama was a prayer warrior and she prayed for all of her family and the people who became her “family”. She was loved by many and will be so missed.
Funeral services will be Monday, Oct. 7, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with Rev. Jerry Young officiating. Burial will follow in the IOOF Cemetery, Alexandria. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
