Gayle Schott

Gayle June Schott, 83 of Alexandria died July 14, 2018 in Community Hospital, Anderson after an extended illness.

She was born on June 3, 1935 and was the daughter of Ross and Frances Toney-Schrader. On Sept. 24, 1955 she married Harold L Schott who preceded her in death in 2016.

She had previously worked at Delco Remy then attended Ivy Tech Community College before becoming a home maker.

Gayle was a member of the Church of St. Mary’s, Alexandria.

She is survived by her children, Paul (Marcie) Schott and Joan (Eddie) Clark, a brother, Max Schrader. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Steven (Shannon) Schott, Casey Schott, Josh (Brittney) Schott, Scott Brobst, Sydney (Alex) Gudeman, Skyler Brobst, Sophie Brobst, Bryson Schott, Brielle Schott, Jarod Ringer, Joshua Ringer and Brittney Clark; great-grandchildren, Cassidy Knowing, Braden Schott, Liam Ringer, Jake Ringer, Vallick Ringer and Noah Ringer; special friends, John Armstrong, Brenda Kraus and Joyce Morgan and former daughter-in-law, Teresa (Terry) Miller.

Gayle was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Harold and a son Greg Schott.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 24, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, 1503 S Park Ave., Alexandria, IN.
