Freeman Beverly, a resilient and patriotic soul, passed away peacefully at the age of 73 in his Anderson, Indiana residence, following a courageous battle with heart disease.
Born in Vincennes, Indiana, he was the beloved son of Ezra and Lula Beverly.
Freeman's life was marked by both joy and sorrow. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Linda, the mother of his children, and his sons, Joey and Jon. However, he found love again, spending 14 wonderful years with his devoted wife, Jackie. Also survived by his cherished daughter, Jonel (Warren) Groscost, and three adoring grandchildren, Ray, Mathew, and Callie. Sister-in-law, Iris Stanley, and Brother-in-law, Bud Needler.
Freeman's strong bond with his brothers, Larry (Sharon) Beverly and Bobbie Storey, brought him immense happiness. He held a special place in his heart for his cousin, Mack Smith (Ann Martinez). Freeman's extended family of cousins, nieces, and nephews also held a special place in his heart.
Freeman Served his country in Vietnam in 1969 and 1970 in the Army with the 101st Airbourne Division.
Freeman was an active member of the American Legion Post 127, where he found camaraderie among his fellow veterans. He had a passion for snow skiing and Texas Hold'em, where he enjoyed meeting his many friends at the Muncie Elks in Yorktown, where his competitive spirit and zest for life shone brightly. His patriotism was evident in all he did, from caring for his home to tending to his yard.

Freeman's memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him, and his legacy of resilience, love, and patriotism will inspire generations to come.
