: Estella Mae Davidson, 87 of rural Summitville died Wednesday, January 09, 2013 in Community Hospital, Anderson after an extended illness.
Estella was born in Pipe Creek Twp. on July 30, 1925 and was the daughter of Glen L.D. And Elizabeth R. (McMillian) Carr. On Sept. 30, 1944 she married Loren E. Davidson who preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 2004.
Estella was a retired Home Maker and had an interest in exploring family genealogy.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Summitville and attended the Christian Congregation Church, Alexandria.
Estella is survived by two sons, Wayne E. (Emily) Davidson of Summitville, Raymond E. (Cathy) Davidson of Elwood, two daughters, Darlene (Bob) Murphy of Dandridge, TN and Irene (Lee) Hollingsworth of Summitville. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren, Chris Davidson of Kokomo, Erik (Jeannie) Davidson of Alexandria, Jeremy (Julie) Davidson of Summitville, Carrie (Bart) Smith of Dandridge, TN, Joshua Marciniak of Indianapolis, Shawn (Amy) Hollingsworth of Middletown, Adam ( Nikki) Hollingsworth of Chesterfield, Seth (Beth) Hollingsworth of Summitville, Rachel (Chris) Ganbrel of Crothersville, Cheyenne (Kyle) Rule of W. Lafayette, Clint Davidson of Elwood and 14 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013 at 11:00 am in Whetsel Funeral Service, 1503 S Park Ave., Alexandria with Rev. Jerry Young officiating. Interment will follow in Park View Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday, Jan. 11, 2013 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be directed to the Alexandria ERF in care of the funeral home.
