Edward Eugene “Ed” Reifel, 54 of Alexandria left this life to his enteral home on April 7, 2024, in Community Hospital, Anderson after a sudden illness.
Ed was born in Homer, AK on January 3, 1970, and he was the son of Eugene and Patricia (Barnheart) Reifel. On May 6, 2006, he married Rachel (Hawk) Reifel.
He was employed by Muncie Community Schools as a Paraprofessional and an assistant with the YMCA After School Children Program where his students referred to him as “Mr. Ed”.
Ed was an avid reader of all kinds of books and literature. His favorite passion was spending time with his children, attending their band and sporting events. Ed was a loving and caring husband and father who was devoted to his family. He was a fan of Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter.
Ed, along with his family attended Union Chapel Ministries in Muncie and was a member of the Madison Lodge 44 of the F& AM, Pendleton.
Left to cherish his life and legacy of love are his wife, Rachel; his children, Alex Reifel, Janiya Reifel, Nathanael Reifel, Brian Reifel, and Keyghan Reifel; his brother, Daymond (Kari) Reifel and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene and Patricia Reifel.
A Celebration of Life service will be Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 3:00 p.m.in Union Chapel Ministries, 4Five6 Auditorium, 4622 N. Broadway, Muncie, IN 47303 with Rev. Jeff Hughes as Celebrant. The family will receive visitors at the church on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
