Dorothy Roesler

Dorothy P. “Dottie” Roesler, 88 of Alexandria died Friday, October 23, 2015 in Community Hospital, Anderson after an extended illness.
Dottie was born in Anderson on Nov. 21, 1926 and was the daughter of Charles and Jesse Opal (Cummins) Graves. She graduated from Anderson High School with the Class of 1944. On Oct 23, 1954 she married Leo R Roesler, Sr. who preceded her in death on Oct. 5, 2008.
She was a longtime member of the Church of St. Mary’s, Alexandria and was retired from Delco Remy-Anderson after over 40 years of service.
Dottie is survived by her two sons, Chuck Roesler of Anderson and Leo R. (Rick) Roesler, Jr. of Alexandria; her sister-in-law, Eileen Johnson of Alexandria and her two granddaughters, Krissy and Jenny Roesler of Alexandria. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Dottie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leo R. Roesler, Sr., brothers, Everett Graves, Cecil Graves and James Graves, and a sister, Viola Hackleman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 12:00 pm on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2015 in the Church of St. Mary’s, 820 W Madison, Alexandria with Fr. Dan Duff as Celebrant. Burial will follow in Park View Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm.
