Donna Baker

Donna J, Baker, 83 of Alexandria died Monday, March 9, 2020 at her residence after an extended illness while in the company of her family.

Donna was born on Mar. 8, 1937 in Anderson, IN and was the daughter of Paul and Helen (Wilson) Freestone. She later married Roger Baker who preceded her death.

Donna was a retired home maker. She had been a member of the Frankton American Legion Auxiliary.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Teresa (Brad) Sayre, brothers, Danny (Vicky) Freestone and David Freestone; sister-in-law, Maggie Wabel. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Josh (Kristie) Bell, Dustin (Erica) Bell, Shelby Irwin, Megan (Michael) Chambless and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Roger Baker, a daughter, Tracy Walker and a grandson, Britton Chambless.

A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, Mar. 14, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with Bud Whetsel officiating. Burial will follow in K-P and IOOF Cemetery, Frankton. Friends are invited to call at the funeral home on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be given the charity of the Donor’s choice.
