Dennis L. “Denny” Beltz, 73 of Anderson died Sunday, Aug. 2, 2020 in Edgewater Woods, Anderson after an extended illness.
Denny was born in Vincennes, IN on Aug. 5, 1946 and was the son of Anthony and Georgia (Miller) Beltz. On June 15, 1968 he married Sharon (Mishler) Beltz.
He was a graduate of Rose Hulman Institute where he earned his Bachelor
of Science Degree. Denny was retired as a Senior Project Manager with Guide Lamp Corp., Anderson for 30 years.
Denny was a member of the Bethany Christian Church where he served as Trustee for many years. and was retired from the Richland Twp. Fire Dept.
Denny was a loving husband, father and grandfather and always enjoyed spending time with his family. He was an avid fisherman and loved camping trips with family, especially the fishing trips he took with his sons Steve and Doug. Denny was a practical joker and had an incredibly unique sense of humor.
Left to carry on his legacy of love is his wife of 52 years, Sharon, his sons, Steve (Jennifer) Beltz and Douglas (Cyndi) Beltz; his sister, Sharon A. Beltz and his grandchildren, Andrew (Sarah) Beltz, Shelby (Lucas) Martin, Cloe Beltz, Zachary Beltz, Chase Beltz and great-grandson Kessler Beltz.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
A service to celebrate Denny’s life will be held on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, 1503 S Park Ave., Alexandria with Rev. Bob Bell officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. The family request that callers come dressed very casually.

Denny’s family would like to offer their sincere and deepest gratitude to the staff family at Edgewater Woods for their excellent care of Denny.
