Clifford B. Semon. Jr., 87 of Alexandria died Tuesday at his residence after an extended illness.
Clifford was born on March 25, 1929 in Alexandria and was the son of Clifford B. and Juanita (Smith) Semon, Sr. On March 11, 1948 he married Thelma (Warren) Semon.
He was a retired meat cutter and had been employed at Emges Meat Packing Co., Anderson.
Clifford served his country during the Korean War in the United States Army.
Clifford was a diehard fan of the Alexandria Tigers, IU Basketball, Indiana Pacers and the Indianapolis Colts. He also enjoyed his fishing trips to Minnesota with family and was a loving Husband, Dad and Grandfather who cherished every moment he spent with his family.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma, a son, Dennis (Leah) Semon, a daughter, Gail (Jack) Malston both of Alexandria, a sister, Eileen Burton of Alexandria and a half-sister, Mara Semon.
Also surviving are his grandchildren, Jack Michael (Beth) Malston, Irish S.(Malston) Mason, Holly (Brad) Webb, Angie (Troy) Cook; great-grandchildren, Collin T. Malston, Austin E. Mason, Bradley J Mason, Schyler Massey, Kaylee Massey, Peighton Webb, Kinley Webb and Mariah Cook.
He was preceded in death by his Parents.
A memorial service will be held on Monday, May 23, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with Bud Whetsel officiating. Friends are invited to call at the funeral from 10:00 am to 11:00 am on Monday.
