Clarice A. Odom, 90 of Alexandria died Tuesday, June 18, 2013 in the Alexandria Care Center where she had made her home for the past two years.
Clarice was born in Anderson, IN on Dec. 5, 1922 and was the daughter of Thomas and Jenny (Wright) Redman. On Oct. 7, 1940 she married Quentin Odom.
Clarice retired in 1980 from Hook’s Drug store in Alexandria. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Alexandria, Ladies Auxiliary of Alexander Bright Post 87 of the American Legion and the Madison Co. 40 & 8.
Left to cherish her memory is her two Daughters, Patricia Small of Marion and Jody Porter of Amity, AK. Also surviving are seven Grandchildren, Scott Porter, Tony Porter, Kelli Kissick, Karla Slagle, Brian Sparks, Kassie Odom and Joseph Odom and seven Great-Grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her Parents, her Husband Quentin Odom, a Son, Michael Odom and a Grandson, Randy Porter.
Services will be on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with Rev. Cliff Richardson officiating. Burial will follow in Park View Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Saturday, June 22, 2013 from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
