Chester Paskell, Jr., 89 of Alexandria died Tuesday, April 10, 2012 at the Alexandria Care Center after an extended illness.
Chester was born on Jan. 4, 1923 in Kokomo, IN and was the son of Chester and Roxie (Albaugh) Paskell, Sr.
After 33 years of service he retired from Guide Lamp Corp., Anderson as safety mechanic and was a member of UAW 663.
Chester was an avid football fan and enjoyed woodworking and fishing. He was a loving Grandfather who enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Left to cherish his memory is his children, Peggy (Jerry) Clabaugh of Alexandria, Michael C. Paskell of Gaston and Mark E. (Sharon) Paskell of Elkart, his sister, Edna Yates of Dayton, OH. Also surviving are his grandchildren, Jerrod Paskell, Stephanie Paskell, Megan Paskell, Cathy Morgan, Bill (Sharon) Clabaugh, Julie (Mike) Phelps, Debbie Clabaugh, David C. (April) Clabaugh, Mark A. ( Angie) Paskell, Kelly McDade, Tracy Deckler and Dawn Mills. His great-grandchildren, Taveia, Justin, Hayleigh, Zack, Erica, Maggie, Trevor, Logan, Corbin and Weslee.
Chester was preceded in death by his parents, a son, Tommy Lee Paskell and his twin sister, Emma Wyasong.
Funeral services for Chester will be held on Friday, April 13, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with Rev. Brad Storm officiating. Interment will follow in Park View Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m.
