Chester (Chet) Charles Cole, 94, of Alexandria, peacefully passed away on September 10, 2024, at Sugar Fork Assisted Living in Anderson, following an extended illness.
Born on 16, 1930, in Versailles, Indiana, Chet was the beloved son of Otto C. and Jane S. (Ensminger) Cole. On April14, 1956 he married the love of his life, Georgiana Cole, and together they shared many cherished moments.
Chet proudly served his country in the United States Army and later dedicated his career to Guide Lamp Corp. in Anderson. He was an active member of the Alexandria Community Church, where he found fellowship and support within the community.
He is survived by two sons, Terry (Debbie) Cole and Bod (Joann) Black, along with several grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will carry his legacy of love and kindness.
Chet was preceded in death by his parents, his beloved wife Georgiana and his son, Tom Black.
A memorial service honoring Chet's life will be scheduled for a later date at the Alexandria Community Church, officiated by Rev. Pat Robbins. Following the service, Chet and Georgiana's cremains will be laid to rest in Oak Dale Cemetery, Dillsboro, Indiana.
