Betty J. Watt, 80 of Alexandria died Saturday, February 15, 2014 expectantly in Community Northview, Anderson.
Betty was born on Jan. 2, 1934 in Union 76, KY and was the daughter of Ivy L. and Alma E.(Kelly) Stearns. On July 24, 1982 she married David M. Watt who survives.
Betty was a retired Home Maker.
She is survived by her husband, David Watt, son, Tim (Sandra) Blakely, step-sons, Allan (Kim) Watt and Steve Watt; daughters, Cathy (Terry) Jones, Theresa (Oscar) Robinson, step-daughter, Laura (Donnie) Reeves; brother, James M (Suzane) Lawson; sisters, Sarah (Steve) Troyer, Beverly Davis, Donna (Herb) Irwin and sister-in-law, Barbra Stearns. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Greg (Chasity) Waymire, Amy (Terry) McCord, Tom (Raina) Rigney, Matthew (Sarah) Blakely, Nikki (Paras) Ramolia, Bobby Dargo, Dereck Watt and Brittney Watt and 10 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, a son, Carmon L Blakely and several brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be on Wednesday, Feb. 19, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in Whetsel Funeral Service, Alexandria with Revs. Edward Stearns and Bruce Stearns officiating. Burial will follow in Union Cemetery, Eaton. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, Feb. 18, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 10401 N Meridian St., Suite 150, Indianapolis, IN 46290 or in care of the funeral home.
