Betty E Broeg, 83 entered her eternal home with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Tuesday, July 7, 2020 at her residence after an extended illness.
Betty was born in Decatur, IL on May 28, 1937 and was the daughter of Wade and Maxine (Greenfield) Donaldson. She later married John R. Broeg who preceded her in death on June 22, 2016.
Betty was proud to have been an Air Force wife for 25 years. She was active in the Wife’s Club where she served as President and Treasurer.
She was a member of the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church and an ordained minister of the Basic Church. She loved the Lord with all her heart and soul. She always enjoyed serving in the church such as a member of the Lunch Bunch, the first secretary and treasurer of the Mary Martha Circle, and youth leader for the teens.
Left to carry on her legacy of love are her daughters, Penny Zion, Kelly (Scott) Strole and Roxanne (Terry) Lyons, her spiritual daughter, Melodie Marmion; her brothers, Jim Donaldson, Mike Donaldson, and David Donaldson; her sister, Beverly Geese. Also, surviving are 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, John R. Broeg, great-granddaughter, Liza Joy Jackson and a brother, Norm Donaldson.
A service to celebrate Betty’s life will be held on Monday, July 13, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, 2604 N. Scatterfield Rd., Anderson, with Rev. Matt Boldiszar officiating. Interment will follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson. Friends may call at the church on Monday from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts be made Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church, 2604 N Scatterfield Rd., Anderson, IN 46012 or in care of the funeral home.
